...I've really made myself at home with this home base, haven't I? All the posts, all the buttons, all the artwork... I'm glad to have so much to look back on with glee. But looking through all those guest post buttons and even the late Team Club button made me realize that I did a better job with those buttons than even the best of my posts in my own HQ.
Now I wonder why that is. ...Could it be because I am just now noticing this? They do say that knowing the problem is the first step in solving it. ...but also? This site started out as a mere school project. I chose the blog category when I made this site, not because I was a blogger or I knew what to do with a web log; I just didn't know what category to choose. It just seemed as good a category as any.
This online HQ just started out as a place to pool my resources into one spot and I just figured out the logging part bit by bit.
I can't say it's been easy, though. I didn't have ANY ideas on how to use online writing until I decided to journal the progress of my feature film. I wrote a seldom few posts before that, but I say that writing the progress of my first feature film is where the blogging REALLY began.
And then the rest is history, like ANY storybook you might find: Trial and error, making and fixing mistakes, editing and re-writing, puzzle-piecing, maybe a little philosophizing... Not to mention the actual PURPOSE of it all... The list just goes on.
The point is that this HQ experience has taught me that there is a difference between creating guest posts and creating a whole web log.
...Also? Sure, I had some practice with google sites and guest posts, but it occurs to me now that this is the first blog I've ever really owned. It's easier to make great guest posts because you're not putting your effort or focus on the whole blog!
I can only imagine if every post I had here in this HQ had as much skill as my clubhouse tours or my movie interview. But deep down I don't really have regret about this website or its web log now. My website is only an extension of my channel, so it's of slightly smaller priority to me. I've had my channel longer than my site as well, so I just don’t have as much experience in this area.
…In the long and short of things... I'm still learning. ...And that's a good thing. They say to NEVER stop learning. Even when I'm done with this first channel and HQ, I'm bettin' I still have a lot to learn with my NEXT channel and HQ. ...So it's time I loosen up a bit and enjoy the process.
