For the past 3-4 days, I've been...
Watching my movie and seeing how it looks so far
Speeding up the pace of my newest movie chapters and removing almost 3 more minutes of filler.**
Editing all my Outtakes and adding a new one to the reel!
Writing a whole mess of new movie notes and finally masterminding how the rest of my movie will turn out.
Going bananas with art and action and completing a whole new movie chapter that starts with this moonlit scene.***
A satisfying progression in my movie after dropping off radar for yet ANOTHER couple of months. Not only are these unexpected producer's blocks inconvenient; it's worrisome... Those who want to see your movie could get worried that it'll never arrive, and the producer's in a panic, thinking all their hard work is all turning into a DISASTER!
...But watching the movie-in-progress was the moonbeam I needed to break the stormclouds of doubt. I can feel this movie getting more exciting, and I think my newest 8-min chapter is the most exciting one yet... More to come tomorrow!
*In these 3 or 4 days I've put so much effort into my movie that I'd either run out of time to log a progress report for each day, or forget entirely.
**That makes the movie roughly 8 minutes shorter than it might have been. 8 minutes doesn't sound like much, but it FEELS that much faster. You can't make the movie TOO long, but if you must make it long, you must make every minute count!
***You could say I cut out 8 minutes of my movie total, and as of tonight, I replaced those 8 minutes with 8 epic NEW minutes!
