Movie reviews were recently made for my 2 feature films, and I recently added them to my HQ control panels. I watched the Battle Morale review some time ago, but I just watched my "Pirates, Camera, Action" video review today. ...Extra popcorn, please!
I've always felt honored that someone I knew took the time to make video reviews for each of my feature films out of their own free will... And by a professional YouTube critic, nonetheless! ...Not that I know if there's even a certification for that or not, but I sure think he qualifies as one. Any person who's watched YouTube for years and is an expert on analyzing the pros and cons of almost every kind of video ever made is a pro critic in my book.
...Not everyone gets recognized by critics, so this was a big deal to me. But whether it be movie critics, food critics, or ANY kind of experienced judge, you gotta be ready to hear real tough reviews and a whole list of things to improve on in your movies... Like the main character (that's me) STAYING ON TASK from inside the movie!
...Maybe I DID have trouble focusing, both IN the movie, AND making it, but I'd say I did the best I could, for making that whole movie while I was sick. I never heard any complaints about getting distracted with sandcastles before, but I'd be GLAD to get carried away with sandcastles AGAIN in 2nd Pirate movie! Will it please everybody? No. But will it please ME? ...Absolutely.
I'm not sure if I'll follow ANYTHING the critical movie review suggests or not, but I'm still glad I watched the movie review. Yes, constructive criticism is hard to listen to, but it's THERE! That means my movies got someone's attention! And you gotta be prepared to get rejected in life, so this'll be good practice. ...Besides, I got a LOT of constructive criticism on both Battle Morale AND Pirates, Camera, Action, but according to the review, my pirate movie is overall a BIG improvement from Battle Morale! ...That alone is good enough for me.
...But will my FINAL pirate movie be even better than the last? ...I sure hope so. I think it will be. That's my goal. I am also aiming for that movie to work with all the weak spots in my 1st pirate movie, so all 3 movies can work together as a trilogy. ...Motivation for continued movie work has been tight as of late, but watching my pirate movie review is one of the many steps I am taking to keep on keeping on!
