It's been a while...

Or at least that's what it feels like. A lot has happened since my last post. I haven't made any new movies lately, though, but I'll get to it eventually... when inspiration hits! I would like to come up with another movie that I would be really proud of, just like my legendary swordfight movie, my zombie movie, and my mythology movie! (I guess I kind of like my backpack movie and superhero movie too though.)

I have been encouraged to get my name out there and make my movies REALLY eye-catching, with the content, thumbnail, title, and everything... just like a news article! As I am told, these are really good skills to develop, but my goal is still to just have fun with my YouTube channel and just make stuff that is worth watching, for my sake and for my friends' sake. After all, you can build your skills all the better when you enjoy what you are doing!

But forget the whole popularity and road to fame business. Popularity contests have never been my thing. Never have and never will. Take the 2021 Poppies contest on the PHB for example. Even if you're lucky enough to get some of your nominations in the voting finals as I did, there's no guarantee that even ONE of your submissions will win. I, for example, made it into 5 voting categories, but I wanted the "Coolest Clubhouse" category title the most. I worked hard to make each clubhouse tour I ever made for the PHB stand out and shine brighter than any other tour. Unfortunately, I have learned that winning the popular vote is not something you can earn by how hard you work on your stuff. Not like classic contests where we have judges! In popularity contests, you can expect the simplest and most effortless nomination to steal your thunder, just because someone is more popular than you.

...But I digress. Live and learn. There is a major difference between greatness and popularity. Given the choice between the 2, I'm gonna go with greatness and just keep doing what I am doing. But if at any point I somehow DO get popular... If my YouTube channel goes viral or something... I'll be sure that I have good reasons for it to be that way. Invisible Ring out!
