Here it is! My 10 favorite videos I've created out of my 100-video- Wait, I think it's 104 now...
Anyway, my 10 favorite videos out of my 104-video collection! (If only ALL of my videos were as good as these, but oh well. Keep trying, Invisible Ring!) So let’s start off with the number TEN!
#10: Poptropica's Powerpuff Girl!
Random fact: I was a BIG Powerpuff fan when I was little. First the computer games, then the cartoon, when I finally got to watch it when I got my phone! Then the REBOOT cartoon later still. ...I don't care WHAT the fanatic Youtubers say: That reboot show was AWESOME! ...Then I really DID play the Powerpuff girls. Just like the best rainy day episode in the classic series! My sister and I would switch off between Buttercup and Blossom, and when I played solo, I dressed as ALL of them! ...And the school spirit weeks in the school year when the shutdown happened, I got to be My 2 favorites: Bliss and the DYNAMO! ...This video basically wraps up all that fandom and memories in one fell swoop. (More info on the Post-Powerpuff Banter) ...It was SUPER fun to make, and SUPER fun to watch, too. BUTTERCUP ROCKS!
#9: Poptropica Mythology Movie!
This was my 40th video, made after my entire advent collection and my Last Mythological Adventure gameplay. There’s a LOT I like about this one. Each time I watch it, it reminds me of how hard I played with this on the entire last week of winter break! Decorating my sister’s study hall with the scenes of Poseidon and Hades, making all those costumes out of stuff in my room and my closet, driving my mom AND my sister crazy by practicing my recorder in the car… It was great! …I also like how the story came out. I always wondered why my Poptropican didn’t rule Poptropica once she got the sacred items back, but after all these years, I finally came up with my own answer for that!
Perhaps my favorite part of this is knowing that if nothing else, all that practice with an entire month of holiday videos really paid off in this movie! …Even a whole year after making this, I am still really happy with how it came out. It might very well be the most elaborately-designed live-action movie I have made so far; even more so than the whole Chinese Pirate Trilogy!
PS. This movie goes PERFECT with my first gameplay: Poptropica's Last Flash Adventure on Mythology Island!
#8: The Legendary Cove
This was my 50th video! Another round number and another great memory! I was introduced to Toontastic in the 4th grade in speech class, and then when I finally had my own phone as an incoming 11th grader, I got to return to toontastic! I noticed it changed to a 3D app within the time frame but I say it’s even better this way. My first cartoon Spyrates… it’s probably pretty juvenile, but it came out way better than my first cartoon in 4th grade. And I still love how the first cartoon’s words say “It all started”... I think it left an effect on my whole collection!
ANYWAY, this is my favorite toontastic toon, hands down. The details on this app say Toontastic is for 6-year-olds, so I love how I was able to pull off such a suspenseful plot and story with such a simple app.
But I know what you’re thinking… (Maybe not, but I’ll take a guess.) “You use a cartoon app for six-year-olds?? What are you, six?”
Well, here’s your answer: “I MIGHT be!” HA HA HA! ...Toontastic's so much fun.
#7: Chinese Pirates 3
…Also known as “CP3 Space Pirates”. My final, favorite, AND highest-scoring annual Chinese video project. (it got a 100. Woohoo!) This one was a contestant for the CHS Stormvision channel; home of the Cleveland High School World Language music video winners, but it didn’t win. …It SHOULD’VE won, but it didn’t! I just flipped my LID back when I lost because I worked WAY harder on MY Chinese video than any of the other Chinese contestants did. …But the winners were decided by popular vote, and as I said in an early post in my HQ Channel Zone, there are times when you lose to the simplest things just because of popularity, and it’s just SO not fair! …Especially since this was when the shutdown first began, and not everyone even VOTED. …But of course, as the ninja all say, “Fair isn’t a word where I come from!” Besides, I probably wouldn’t have MADE a channel without the shutdown, and now that I have, all 3 of my Chinese Pirate movies are in one spot now! …Bonus points in my book for the original song and composition!
#6: Poptropica's Legendary Sword Fight!
My very first video to go on my channel! I already explained its origins in my movie interview (which you can now view in HQ No. 2), but did you know that I made this just a few months after Chinese Pirates 3? What I really like about that is that both of these videos have sword fights in them. Me against my sister! Each time I watch CP3, my sis and I can both tell that I’m the better sword fighter out of the both of us. I staged the sword fight in this robot sword fight video so that my sister would win. If it wasn’t staged, I DEFINITELY woulda won. …Well, not definitely, come to think of it. The robot helmet I wore had no eye holes; only a mouth hole to see through, so… yeah, it’s hard to win a swordfight half-blindfolded.
Fun fact: I’ve built cardboard helmets, weapons, and suits of armor and had cardboard battles before, but this was the first one I got caught on camera. …SCORE!
#5: Newton's 3 Laws of Motion with Invisible Ring
This was the final project from a class called “Physical Science for Teachers”... a laboratory science class from just last semester! The project was to pick a scientific topic and teach it in the K-12 curriculum. This presentation IS that project! It technically falls into EVERY level of the K-12 curriculum, because Newton’s Laws of Motion are introduced in elementary school, studied in middle school, and reviewed in high school. I made it Poptropica-themed in order to make it fun and educationally encouraging, and also because I didn’t wanna add a Facebook avatar like other teachers. Not that I’m a teacher, just a guest teacher for that video…
And like my 3 Chinese Pirate high school projects, this video got an A! 92% to be exact. I’m on a ROLL!
…It’s also the first school project video I made in which I was CAPABLE of adding a Poptropica theme to it! Perhaps THAT’s why I enjoyed it so much…
Also, in a way, I think EVERYONE can learn something from this video. The test at the end had brain-teasers that even stumped my mom and dad! ...At the very least, it's still fun to watch regardless of the learning material.
#4: Ring and the Red Baron
The 2nd part of my Great Pumpkin Mission! ...3rd part, if you count the blooper reel. I like all the parts of this saga, but this part is my favorite. I just LOVED roleplaying snoopy, just like snoopy loves to roleplay OTHER heroes! This was a movie idea I have had in the back of my head for MONTHS, if not a whole year. But I LOVED how this came out and my whole family loved it as well!
I showed some other movies from my Poptropica Studios list to my folks and grand-folks at the time, such as the legendary swordfight, the behind-the-scenes rookie video, the zombie special, the mythology movie, and the other great pumpkin videos, but they all told me THIS one was the best one yet! And I agree, this is DEFINITELY my favorite out of the entire Poptropica Studios playlist! (too bad I haven’t added to that playlist yet since then. Those kinds of short movies are so gosh darn hard to make!)
#3: Battle Morale- The Trailer
Before the movie, I had this. One small, shocking, seat-edge short… I could even call it APOCALYPTIC. It was like an intense or even terrifying vision of what was coming to my channel in the future. Even NOW, now that the movie set is out on my channel, this trailer gives me the chills, because the message has not worn off on me. The battle begins with that one Poptropican determined to make a difference. The only difference is that instead of HOPING the movie would come out right… I now KNOW it came out right. Not to mention it's always exciting for me to see this AND my movie back to back.
#2: Heart of the Samurai
It started with pushing my dream island to be everything I ever wanted a dream island to be. Just a month afterward, I figured out how to push that dream even further by adding a sequel series I refer to as the Poptropi-con Saga. Like the dream island chapters, I have strived to make each Poptropi-con issue better than the last, but this one? …I think I pushed this issue over the top. I’ve read all of my dream island/poptropi-con comics to my older sister (and my older sister only), but never before were any of them intense enough to leave here in a state of shock and stunned silence. I think I should be proud. Even I’M stunned by how this issue has shaped up. (Now where am I gonna go with issue 11?...)
Oh, I know! I should just "follow my heart", just like that comic book!
#1: Battle Morale- The Movie
No questions asked. This is my favorite out of everything I made. Also the longest movie I ever made, too. I enjoy every minute of this movie, and that INCLUDES all the bonus features. I’m just so glad that I can enjoy it myself since I’m the one who made it! I really gave it all that I could in this feature, and I’m happy to say it paid off 100%! I can’t even count how many things I like about this project, what I put into it, or what I get out of watching it.
…Hopefully, I will be able to say the same things about this movie for years to come, and my movie sequel that I plan to make in the future. And something tells me I will.
…and with THAT, you have the list of my top 10 favorite videos! But no top 10 list is complete without honorable mentions! I'll just list off a few that come to mind...
Poptropica Haunted Halloween Zombies -Currently my most popular upload. Hopefully, my Battle Morale movie will soon surpass that and make #1 on that list as well as this list... Anyway, this movie is probably one of the most ridiculous movies I made, which is probably why I can't help laughing while watching it. Heck, I couldn't even help laughing while FILMING it!
Poptropica Superhero! -I've been all ABOUT superheroes for as long as I could remember. My all-time favorite Poptropica island, Super Power Island played a part in that. I've played superheroes almost my whole life (the Powerpuffs being one example), and I even made my own real live superpower book, mask, and ID card in 2015 or 2016! ...Like the Powerpuff movie, this movie put all that together. LOVED it! I'm SO glad my super suit and card finally came in such good handy!
Shipwreck the Pirate Day -Avast ahoy aye aye! I've not only loved playing superheroes for years but have also loved playing pirates for years as well! Talk Like a Pirate day has been a bust over the years, as I would either forget to talk like a pirate, or no one else would be interested in talking like a pirate with me. But at least I had ONE good pirate talking day on a pirate-themed school spirit day! That's when I first got the hang of talkin' like a pirate and learned International Talk Like a Pirate day was real. ...I'm still planning on making a pirate sequel to Battle Morale sometime in the future, and I also wanna start playing pirates again. While I'm at it, I'll watch my Chinese Pirate movies again! It all sounds like SO MUCH FUN!
...ok, that's it for now. Those aren't the only videos worthy of honorable mentions but we're out of time for tonight. Now that you know my favorite video creations, I hope you liked reading this, and I definitely plan to keep making more top-ten-worthy and honorable-mention-worthy videos moving forward. I can't wait to see how it goes!
Wow! ...I just now realize that every single top 10 and honorable mention video on here has so much history behind it!
