I'm beat! I need to relax a little and just read underneath a tree today. Moviemaking is exhausting, especially for THIS movie.
I can't believe how many videos I made on my channel in just one year. Heck, it sure has been fun, but I'm starting to wonder if I actually want to keep going.
After discussing my "Ultimate movie" with my sister last night, I think this movie project is gonna be my moment of truth. It could possibly even be my grand finale...
But then again, I have some unfinished business with my Toontastic playlist and my Poptropica comic playlist. Not to mention, I did say on my latest Poptropica guest post that I wanted to take the Wheel on what Perfect Sky's moviemaking role. I still want to, but... my head is REALLY starting to spin out of control.
Of course... this first year of Youtubing, I made some 80 videos, and then a couple more this past month. Perfect Sky's channel has 140 videos spread throughout... lemme think... 6 years, maybe? I found another Poptropica channel called PoptropicaStars that has had a similar outcome. 136 videos in about 5 years. (turns out Perfect sky was inspired BY Poptropicastars!) Not to mention, both these channels recorded all their stuff on the Poptropica website, while I've practiced with live action movies, comics, and other genres as well...
Maybe I've just been pushing myself a little harder than I should with all of this....
No problem! I understand all of what you are telling me and I happen to agree with it, too! I may be beat, but it's been fun so far and that's why I'm doing it! And I am definitely NOT giving up on my ultimate movie. As my trailer says, "Not just for Poptropica...I'm doin' it for ME!" PS: Thanks for the salute ☺
It's okay to take a break every while, movie making is hard, especially when you’re trying to make it actually good and people would invest their time watching it. These kinds of projects should be made for fun which you actually enjoy doing, instead of constantly stressing you out. The Poptropica community has been pretty chaotic ever since the old islands went away, Poptropica USED to be popular with kids, but then they moved onto other stuff, the main reason people still play Poptropica is for either nostalgia or trying taste what people had experienced before, but they were wronged when the old islands were gone. Who could blame the Poptropica team? They had a massive layoff a long while…
