Class has Just Become Film Class

We started a kickoff assignment in Composition class today that will probably have a mega-impact on my sequel to Battle Morale.

As quoted, we define the conflict we will be writing about for the entire semester and then answer the following questions...

1. Why are you interested in this topic?

2. What is the scope of your topic? For example, is it local, statewide, national, or international?

3. Who does the argument impact?

(Note: these answers can change as you research the topic.)

Then we create two characters for The Dialectic Fight. We name the two characters and define their relationship to each other. Our questions here are:

  1. Why is the subject relevant to each character?

  2. Why do they feel the subject is important? (This is not necessarily the same answer as the question above)

  3. What does each character have to gain if their side is “right”?

"These papers are taking me to new heights!"

I knew exactly what conflict to choose. I chose the conflict I had that consequently led to the creation of my Invisible Introspection comic, and later on my Battle Morale movie. And by taking this conflict head-on for this semester project, I can only imagine how my grand finale video might turn out in response.

...My school notebook has officially doubled as a movie project notebook. I am now aiming for an A-grade semester AND an A-grade sequel. And with that, my Pirate Journal has officially begun!
