I strive in making ALL my videos kid-friendly but have heard that setting your videos as kid-friendly disables your comments sections. But now I realize that's not a bad thing. The inappropriate comments filter doesn't always work, and furthermore, most of my videos never got any comments anyway. No wonder Youtubers usually just say, "Like and Subscribe"! So, I decided to set my videos to "made for kids" again.
Now, my videos will show up on Youtube Kids as well as Youtube! This means that I can reach more of my target audience. ...Buuut there are more catches. All those end screens I added a while back do not show up on Youtube kid's videos, and neither do the info links. Also, your channel trailer cannot be a video made for kids! ...So for these reasons, I kept my movie and my trailer set as "not made for kids." But for safety reasons, the comments are still disabled.
Now, I'm not sure what to do about those advent videos... Whether or not to set THEM as "Made for kids". ...And whether or not I want to take some of my videos off of the "made for kids" section so that my watermark can come back on...
I guess time will tell. I reckon once this writing is done, I'm just gonna get back to my studio and figure it all out! ...I just hit my 60th subscriber, so I know this channel won't be in the shadows forever. Better figure out all the kinks before it all gets widely recognized!
