I know some people who like to spend their WHOLE day on the computer, 24-7. (like maybe my sister!) but not me. I have a life OUTSIDE the digital world. Honestly, I can't imagine how anyone could stay in front of a TV and/or laptop for 12 hours straight, much less 24-7!
Now, I remember being hooked on flash games pretty much my entire life right up UNTIL the shutdown, but it was never the only thing I did. I always threw in arts and crafts or some card games in the mix when I was not on the TV or computer.
...But what about now, you may ask? By the time the shutdown occurred, I was done with computer games period, with the exception of Poptropica. I enjoyed 'em, but I was over them, and ready to move on and live a little... Well, that is... live a little MORE. Good thing, too, because soon after, Flash disappeared and Haxe took its place!
My current computer activity now is based around 3 things:
Homework, of course. Any student who doesn't have this on top of their computer list is either lucky or hardly working.
My movie mission. Yes sir, it's a lot of work when you want to do it right.
Making posts such as these, simply to log my progress and make something fun to read later.
Now for NON-computer activities. The first one to come to my head is dancing. Whether it be dancing to my dancing video game, dancing with headphones on, or just dancing anytime and anywhere for no reason like no one is watching... The ideal activity for a fun person who can't sit still!
The second one is comics! I've got some comic books in my room that I like to read, and I also have comics I like to draw. Speaking of, I'm still posting my new Poptropica comics on my Pop Comic playlist on a timely schedule (gotta schedule enough time to finish my own Poptropica saga on time!) Which reminds me: It's almost time for posting my 4th PoptropiCon issue! Better get to it this week!
The last one is to just take a walk. I do that now and then around the house and outdoors, particularly when I am in a fog and need to clear my head.
Sometimes I get lost in my head in the process. I imagine I'm a lot of stuff when I'm walking outside all by myself, like... say... a flying Kung Fu master! (Don't mess with the monkey! Hee Hee Hee...)
PS. I did watch TV too, like everyone else in my spare time, but not a whole lot, due to my itinerary.
This is probably the longest post I'm writing for my HQ so far, but I must make note that all these activities I'm currently doing only apply for this month. Last month was exactly the same as this month with both computer work and non-computer activities, in addition to cardboard crafts for Halloween costumes and actually STARTING the movie mission and setting the goals within.
September was the same, too, but this was BEFORE my movie mission work and blogging. In its place was making all those Poptropica Month movies that eventually LEAD to my Movie Mission.
And there you have it. My daily life and my whole Fall Season performance summarized into this one post. Speaking of posts, my HQ site and my journal are both filling up pretty quickly now!
I'm happy to have come this far, but my motivation has finally dropped. I can feel my Post from October 30th throw its own title right back at me! "You Should be Resting", it says...
You know what I say to that? "I KNOW!" But not just yet. Thanksgiving Break is coming THIS WEEK for me, and I sure am thankful for that. I just gotta stay strong until it finally comes.
The plan now is to put the movie mission on hold this week and rest up during the Thanksgiving Break from... well... ALL OF THE ABOVE, I guess... and then get back in the game in the turn of the month.
...And that wraps things up! Break time's over, time to get off this blog and go for the "Final Blow" of my homework.
See you all after Thanksgiving Break!
